NILAI-NILAI BUDAYA DAN KEARIFAN LOKAL DALAM KELONG MAKASSAR = CULTURAL VALUES AND LOCAL WISDOM IN KELONG MAKASSAR

Kelong is a form of local wisdom passed down from generation to generation by the ancestors of the Makassar people. Kelong is to be used to find various values and moral messages as a reference in various life activities. The problem is whether the people of Makassar, especially the current millennial generation, understand the values contained in Kelong. This study aims to describe the values contained in Kelong Makassar, which reflect the mindset and behavior of the Makassar people since time immemorial, so Kelong should be preserved and guided. This research was conducted in Gowa and Takalar Regencies, South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. The listening method is used with conversational and conversational engagement techniques and reading texts accompanied by note-taking techniques. The samples were chosen at random based on the research needs, and the data were analyzed descriptively.
