Abstract (Abstrak)

Nurul Awaliyah Mustari D311 16 525. ”STUDI PREDIKSI TAHANAN KAPAL SEMI PLANNING HULL PADA KECEPATAN TINGGI AKIBAT TRIM BURITAN”. (Dibimbing oleh Suandar Baso, dan Lukman Bochary)
Dalam bidang perencanaan bentuk lambung kapal dikenal 3 jenis rancangan bentuk kapal yaitu planning hull ship, semi planing hull ship dan semi displacement ship. Salah satu jenis kapal semi planing hull adalah kapal cepat penumpang atau speed boat. Karena kecepatan kapal cepat tergolong tinggi maka akibat dari kecepatan yang tinggi tersebut badan kapal terangkat atau mengalami trim di bagian buritan akibat dari gaya dorong. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menentukan nilai tahanan yang ditimbulkan akibat kondisi trim yang dialami oleh kapal dengan kecepatan tinggi. Dalam penelitian ini, akibat dari kecepatan tinggi kapal mengalami kondisi trim dengan jumlah variasi sebanyak 3 tingkatan kemiringan, antara lain kondisi trim 1 derajat, kondisi 2 derajat, dan kondisi 3 derajat. Hasil perhitungan yang diperoleh adalah kenaikan nilai tahanan yang terbesar terjadi pada kondisi trim 1 derajat ke kondisi 2 derajat dengan Froude number volume 1,069 – 1,512 dengan selisih nilai tahanan sebesar 0,471 N atau sebesar 47% serta perubahan penurunan nilai tahanan terbesar terjadi pada kondisi 2 derajat ke kondisi 3 derajat dengan Froude number volume 1,830 – 2,81 dengan selisih nilai tahanan sebesar 0,113 N atau sebesar 11%.

In the preliminary ship design, there are 3 types of ship hull design, namely the planning hull ship, semi planing hull ship and semi displacement ship. One type of semi planing hull ship is a high speed craft or speed boat. Because the speed of speed boat is classified as high, the result of this high speed is the ship lifted or experiencing trim at the stern as a result of the thrust force. The purpose of this research is to determine the value of resistance caused by the trim conditions experienced by ship at high speed. In this study, the result of the high speed of the ship experiencing a trim condition with a number of variations of 3 levels of slope, including 1 degree trim condition, 2 degree condition, and 3 degree condition. The result of the calculation is that the largest increase in resistance value occurs in the 1 degree trim condition to 2 degrees condition with Froude number volume of 1.069 - 1.512 with a difference in resistance value of 0.471 N or by 47% and the largest change in the decrease in resistance value occurs in conditions of 2 degrees to 3 degrees condition with Froude number volume 1,830 - 2,81 with a difference in the resistance value of 0,113 N or 11%.
