Abstract (Abstrak)

Introduction: Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) is an infectious disease caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). In severe case, it can cause mortality. Covid-19 patient’s description is very important to monitor and evaluate the patient's condition. This study describe ICU patient’s condition, laboratory markers and radiological findings in Hasanuddin University Teaching Hospital.
Objective: To describe patient’s characteristic, laboratory marker, radiological finding in SARS-CoV-2 infected ICU patients hospitalized from July to October 2021 in Hasanuddin University Teaching Hospital.
Method: Descriptive observational study with total sampling. Data was obtained from the medical record of COVID-19 ICU patient.
Result: We obtained 53 patients data. 54.72% were older than 65 years old, and 66.04% were male, Comorbidity of hypertension and diabetes mellitus were 64.15% and 37.73%, respectively. 88.68% of the patients exposure to SARS- CoV-2 exposure was unidentified and 96.23% were unvaccinated.
From laboratory findings, hypoalbuminemia and anemia was found in 64.15% and 50,94% of the patients, respectively. Elevation of the D-dimer and IL-6 seen in 81.15% and 35.85%. Radiological examination showed pneumonia in 90% of the patients and 60.38% of the patients died.
Conclusion: Various condition was associated with the condition and prognosis of SARS-CoV-2 infected ICU patients.
