Abstract (Abstrak)

Khairil, The Ability of Arabic Literature Students at Hasanuddin University in Articulating Arabic (Sound Analysis Study), Supervised by Haeruddin, S.S., M.A., and Dr. Andi Agussalim, S.S, M.Hum.
This study discussed the Ashwat Science or Arabic phonology, especially articulating the ability of Arabic literature Students at Hasanuddin University. The purpose of this study is to identify and improve the articulating Ability of Hasanuddin University students in articulating Arabic.
The method used in this research is field research methods. The way the researchers collected the data was by visiting the field and recorded Arabic sentences which are articulated by students and native speakers. This research data is in the form of an MP3 file. After gaining the data, the researchers analyzed the data.
The data analysis method used by researchers is to use the praat application. Praat application is an application that can identify various types of bass sounds such as tone, intonation, frequency, pressure, and others related to sound. so that this application is very appropriate to use in this study to identify student articulations.
After analyzing the data, the researcher got the results that showed that the articulation of Arabic literature students at unhas and native speakers have similarities and differences in each articulated sentence. With these results, it shows that this study can identify the articulating ability of students in articulating Arabic sentences.
