Abstract (Abstrak)

Composites ZnO/TiO2 were synthesized by green method mediated by Calopogonium mucunoides leaf extract as reducing and stabilizing agent for various calcination temperatures 500 °C, 600 °C, 700 °C, and 800 °C (TiO2 concentrations: 2.5 g and 5 g). The composites ZnO/TiO2 were characterized using Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), and UV–Visible spectroscopy. The XRD and FTIR show that they successfully synthesized the composite ZnO/TiO2 indicated by the presence of Ti–O and Zn–O bonding. From the analysis of UV–Vis spectra, the ZnO/TiO2 (5 g) at the calcination temperature 800 °C shows that the best photodegradation of Congo red is 98.26% for 10 min irradiation. The composite ZnO/TiO2 shows high potentials photocatalyst for environmentally friendly, stability for circular chemistry, and efficiency of using the energy in future
