Abstract (Abstrak)

The Poisson-Exponential (PE) distribution is a new distribution for lifetime data with two parameters and an increased hazard function. The PE distribution is a mixed distribution between the Exponential distribution and the zero truncated Poisson distribution. This distribution has an important position on the latent complementary risk problem scenario. PE distribution parameters are estimated using the Maximum Product Spacing (MPS) method with Newton Raphson iterations. The methodology is illustrated in data simulation.
