Abstract (Abstrak)

LENNY KREY. The Influence of Module-Based Health Education on Adolescent Knowledge About HIV/AIDS in Biak Integrated Health Vocational School in 2020 (guided by Veni Hadju and Mardiana Ahmad)

Health education in adolescents is crucial to obtain accurate information related to HIV/ the prevention and prevention of HIV /AIDS. One way to use modules as systematically initiated media with a language that is easy to understand. This research aims to assess the influence of module-based health education on adolescent knowledge about HIV / AIDS in Biak integrated health vocational school. The research design uses quasi experiment with pre-and post-test to take measurements of adolescent knowledge before being given education and after being given by educators and health. The sample in this study was all X-grade students at Biak Integrated Health Vocational School in 2021, which amounted to 96 students. The sampling technique is total sampling. The data analysis used Paired t-test. The results of statistical tests obtained an average of knowledge before intervention is 21.55 and after intervention with score is 23.55 with an average difference value of 2 with p-value 0.000 (p<0.05), thus there is an influence of module-based health education on adolescent knowledge about HIV/AIDS in Biak Integrated Health Vocational School in 2021. So it can be concluded that module-based health education can be used in an effort to increase adolescent awareness about HIV/AIDS.
