Abstract (Abstrak)
This analysis aims to describe the Social Interaction of AfricanAmericans which is reflected in the novel The Secret Life of Bees. The
author shows the life of African-Americans who can interact well with white
people. The south America was still a lot of discrimination and segregation
between whites people and blacks/ African-Americans in 1964.
This analysis has applied the Genetic Structuralism Approach
covering the literary work itself (intrinsic) and analysis of the social
interaction of African-Americans (exstrinsic) when the work was published.
Apart from the application of this approach, the writer has conducted
library research as a method of research to collect data and information
through reading several books that related to the object of writing.
From the results of this analysis indicate that the social interaction
between African-Americans with white skin. In this novel portrayed that
whites and blacks / African-Americans were able to live together without
separated by The Social Stratification
