Peran Pemerintah Daerah dalam Penyelesaian Konflik Agraria antara PT. Vale dan Masyarakat Adat di Kabupaten Luwu Timur

This study aimed to know and analyze the role of East Luwu Regency local government, in the process of completion the agrarian conflict between PT. Vale and To Karunsi’e indigenous people that settled in Dongi Village. Besides, it is also intended to know the factor that influence the conflict happened.
This research used the qualitative approach that focus to data retrieval with interview, on site observation, as well as existing document.
The last, the result of this study obtained that: 1) The role of East Luwu Regency local government in the process of completion the agrarian conflict between PT. Vale and To Karunsi’e Indigenous people is made by the conciliation efforts which then resulted in an agreement to form a conflict completion team. 2) The factor that caused the conflict is because since the beginning in the land acquisition process, To Karunsi’e indigenous people are not involved.
