Abstract (Abstrak)

The research aims at investigating the influence of the leadership, emotional intelligence on the employees’ performance mediated by the work stress in PT. NIC makassar.
The research used the quantitative method. Samples were taken using the purposive sampling technique, out of 315 people, as many as 100 employees were selected as the research samples with the criteria of working period of more than 2 years, the level of operator-supervisor position. Data were collected using the questionnaire, observation, and documentation. The data were analysed using the Partial Least Square (PLS).
The research result indicates that: (1) there are is the positive and significant influence of the leadership on the employees’ performance, (2) there is the positive and significant effect of the emotional intelligence on the employees’ performance, (3) there is the negative and significant influence of the work stress on te employee’ performance, (4) there is the negative effect of the leadership on the employees’ work stress, (5) there is the influence of the emotional intelligence on the employee’ work stress, (6) there is the indirect effect of the leadership on the employees’ performance through the employees’ work stress, (7) there is the indirect influence of the emotional intelligence on the employees’ performance through the employees’ work stress in PT. NIC Makassar.
