ABSTRACT
MUSTAINAH: Beef Cattle Waste Treatment Strategy in Masago Village, Pattimpeng District, Bone Regency
The population of beef cattle in Masago Village, Pattimpeng District, Bone Regency continues to increase from year to year, this shows that livestock development in the future has very bright prospects. Masago village is directed that in addition to producing a superior beef cattle product, it is also expected to be able to utilize beef cattle feces waste to be used as additional income. If the utilization of waste is managed properly, it will produce organic fertilizer with high economic value. This can increase the income of farmers and reduce environmental pollution. This study aims to determine the strategy in processing beef cattle feces waste. The research was conducted from April to May 2021. The type of research is quantitative. The population in this study were all cattle breeders in Patimpeng Regency who used beef cattle waste, the number of samples was 25 farmers. Analysis of the data used by using SWOT analysis. The results showed that the strategy needed for processing beef cattle feces is to increase the knowledge and skills of farmers so that farmers are more capable and interested in processing livestock manure waste.
