PASCA KOLONIAL DALAM NOVEL UNE ENQUETE AU PAYS KARYA DRISS CHRAIBI

Abstract

The title of this thesis is "Post-Colonial in the novel "Une Enquete au Pays" by Driss Chraibi. This study aims to examine the Pasca-colonial contained in the story, through various events experienced by the characters in the story.
The theory used by the researcher in this thesis is the theory of Orientalism, Hegemony, and also uses intrinsic elements. This study explains how Post-Colonial is contained in the story. The Post-Colonial Study arises because of the main characters (Police Chief Mohammed and Inspector Ali) who are assigned to investigate a country.
After conducting this research, the results showed that the author of the novel "Une Enquete au Pays", Driss Chraibi, before showing signs of Post-Colonial, Chraibi made the main character curious about the area to be investigated, so that it can provide a discourse about Post-Colonial.
