Dalam berinvestasi seorang investor dihadapkan pada berbagai macam pilhan
investasi. Semakin tinggi tingkat pengembalian yang diharapkan, maka semakin
tinggi pula risiko yang akan dihadapi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis
pembentukan portofolio optimal saham perbankan. Penelitian ini meggunakan
model Markowitz. Sampel yang digunakan adalah delapan saham yang termasuk
dalam indeks LQ 45 dan yang masuk dalam kategori 50 perusahaan dengan
kapitalisasi terbesar selama periode 2008-2012. Data yang digunakan adalah
data historis berupa harga penutupan saham bulanan. Dari hasil penelitian
tersebut, portofolio optimal dengan risiko paling rendah dibentuk oleh saham
BBCA, BDMN, BNII dan PNBN. Dengan Porsi masing-masing BBCA 57.49%,
BDMN 8.35%, BNII 30.62% dan PNBN 3.54%. Tingkat risiko portofolio ini adalah
6.74% dan tingkat pengembalian 0.38%.

In investing an investor faced with the choice of various kinds of investments. The
higher the expected rate of return, the higher the risk to be faced. This research
aims to analyze the formation of an optimal portfolio of banking stocks. This study
receipts Markowitz model. The samples used were eight shares included in LQ
45 and 50 are in the category of companies with the largest market capitalization
during the period 2008-2012. The data used is the historical data in the form of
monthly closing price. From these results, the optimal portfolio with the lowest
risk is formed by BBCA, BDMN, BNII and PNBN. With each Portion BBCA 57.49
%, BDMN 8.35%, BNII 30.62 % and PNBN 3.54 %. The level of portfolio risk is
6.74 % and return 0.38%.
