Penelitian isolator polimer SIR bertujuan : (1) menganalisiskarakteristik arus bocor permukaan dari isolator polimer dibawahpengaruh multi tekanan buatan, (2) mengetahui faktor-faktor iklim tropisyang dapat mempengaruhi karakteristik arus bocor permukaan dariisolator polimer, (3) menentukan faktor iklim yang paling berpengaruhterhadap karakteristik arus bocor permukaan dari isolator polimer,(4) menentukan perbandingan arus bocor permukaan isolator polimerdengan isolator keramik atau isolator gelas jika digunakan di daerahberiklim tropis.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Tegangan Tinggi UNHASMakassar, dengan bantuan pembiayaan dari JICA LBE Fund dan PT.PLN(persero), PT.Freeport. Metode yang digunakan adalah membuat konsepdesain konstruksi chamber dan aksesorisnya, mendesain hingga dapatberfungsi dengan baik sesuai dengan fungsinya. Selanjutnya menentukansampel Isolator yang akan digunakan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik arus bocorpermukaan isolator polimer SIR jauh lebih kecil dan stabil dari padaisolator keramik dan isolator gelas dalam pengujian dengan menerpaberbagai tekanan iklim tropis buatan menunjukkan bahwa arus bocorpermukaan isolator polimer SIR sangat kecil untuk semua jenis pengaruhiklim topis dengan perbandingan terkecil terjadi ketika diterpa polusi kabutgaram dengan perbadingan rata-rata mencapai 1 : 3,14 : 4,26 terhadapisolator keramik dan isolator gelas. selisih arus bocor terendah rata-ratamencapai 72,03 % terhadap isolator keramik dan 58,21% terhadapisolator gelas.

Deskripsi Alternatif :

The research of polymer insulator SIR aimed at : (1) analysing thecharacteristic of surface leakage current of the polymer insulator under theimpact of artificial multi stress, (2) investigating tropical climate factorswhich could influence the characteristic of the surface leakage current ofthe polymer insulator, (3) determining the most influential climate factortowards the characteristics of the surface leakage current of the polymerinsulator, (4) determine a comparison of the surface leakage current ofthe polymer insulator with a ceramic insulator or a glass insulator if theywere used in the area with the tropical climate.This research was carried out in the High Voltage Laboratory,Hasanuddin University Makassar, with the financial assistance from JICALBE Fund and PT.PLN (Ltd), PT. Freeport. The methods used weremaking design concept of chamber construction and it accessories,designing it so that it could function well in line with its usefulness. Then,the insulator sample, that would be used, was determined.The tests are carried in several stages and the result of the researchreveals that the characteristic of the surface leakage current of polymerinsulators SIR is much smaller and more stable than ceramic insulator andglass insulator. The test, by blowing the various artificial tropical climatepressure, indicates that the surface leakage current of the polymerinsulator SIR is very small for all types of the tropical climate impacts andthe smallest comparison occurs when it is blown by the pollution of saltyfog in which the average comparison achieves 1 : 3,14 : 4,26 towardsceramic insulator and glass insulator. The difference of the lowest leakagecurrent reaches the average of 72,03 % towards the ceramic insulator and58,21% towards the glass insulator.
