Abstract:
This paper was model improvement as regards mangrove leaf litter productions Rhizophora apiculata, Blume based on study as of de Leon et al. (1992) that purpose to know of energy contributions from mangrove forest to nearby environment i.e. mangrove forest floor, sea grasses, coral reef and deep water soft bottom.
Analysis of model enlargement was done with software Stella that follow-on a linkage model between environments with assumed its still steady state within closed system.
The results showed that mangrove leaf litter in all compartments was greatly depend by leaf litter productions and increased exponentially by time.
Weight of leaf litter and herbivores fish weight relationship in all compartments was significant, except for coral reef. The degradation of mangrove forest as regards 50% will decreased of fish weight 49.60% in forest floor, 49.12% in sea grasses, and 44.94% in deep waters soft bottom.
